The new joint venture that will manage the airline's holiday division Champa Holidays is expecting to drive greater in-bound and out-bound tourism throughout the airline network & beyond. The JV will enable GTMC's global network of agents to book both outbound and inbound travel & tour packages thru GTMC offices or directly thru Champa Holidays office in Laos.

24 October 2013 - GTMC Travel (, a leading inbound and outbound travel & tours company catering to a global network of travel agents is pleased to announce its first joint venture with Lao Airlines (QV).

This joint-venture between Singapore-headquartered GTMC (49% holding) and the national carrier of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos) (51% holding) will manage the airline's holiday division, Champa Holidays Co., Ltd. Both companies will have two Directors each on the Board of the joint venture company.

The move will allow GTMC's global network of travel agents to book both inbound and outbound travel packages of the airline network. The network of Lao Airlines is vast extending to domestic and international destinations, including Seoul, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Hanoi and Phnom Penh. Since Champa Holidays will operate from QV's head office with an initial staff of 10 employees, travel agents will be better equipped to service their customers with absolute confidence.

Serial Entrepreneur and CEO of GTMC Travel, Samson Tan said, " It's an honor to be invited by QV to this partnership and with our vast network of offices in Asia and beyond, I am sure it will significantly contribute to rapid growth for both organisations. We will use Vientiane as a stopover destination by providing free stop over tours for passengers using QV to transit to their destinations.

"We expect the sales revenue to go up by 50% year on year, as QV is servicing hidden gem markets like Indo China, South East Asia & beyond, the current hotspot of tourism."

Going forward, Champa Holidays will appoint GSAs in many countries that QV flies to and other countries as well.
